• A leader of a local Republican group is being attacked.
• One of our own Republican county commissioners is being attacked.
• The Citizens and Children of Manatee County are being attacked (myself included in this ridiculous hit piece.)
• And NOW the Chair of the MREC is running for Countywide Commissioner??!!

Let's break all this down...

The new group attacking politicians and average citizens alike calls itself the "Real" Manatee County Conservatives. Anyone who disagrees with them is called horrible names, including liberals, whores, satanists, even baby killers.

It's all happening on Facebook, and some people have even received this by text. But don't think for a second it's real news. Look at the pictures below: you can see all of this is just a bunch of paid ads.  

But it's not happening ONLY on Facebook ....

Manatee Residents who show up to county board meetings to voice their opinions are also being harassed. They are being labeled as radicals and Soros-backed Communists because they want to preserve our wetlands. 

Even children were mocked and called "political pawns." These are not my words. This commissioner said them (although it probably wasn't even his words because he was clearly reading from a script).

How can "Red" Manatee be in such disarray?? It isn't a fight about Democrats or Republicans any longer. This type of behavior is outrageous. I wouldn't  normally say anything but after this latest display of disrespect I have to step in...This is where I draw the line. 

I have fought HARD for over 2 years to protect the children from inappropriate books and curriculum that is in our schools, which are targeting kids. These children are THE REAL "Political Pawns!" 

So why is all of this happening? Who and What is turning Manatee County upside down?

Let's start here.....

April Allison, Culbreath, Dugan, Watson... WHEW ... who is also the Chair of the Manatee Republican Executive Committee, has now decided (or her handlers decided) to run for office as D7's "Countywide Commissioner." This means she would "represent" and "oversee" the entire county, not for just ONE district. 

Could her run for office be one of the reason we are seeing such chaos? 

Answer me this:

What qualifications does she have for being a "Countywide" Commissioner? What is her background and character that would make her suitable to be given this kind of authority and power?? 

How can a leader (I only say this figuratively) of a Republican group, in fact the chair of the Republican Executive Committee, run against another Republican and smear a sitting incumbent? 

How is the Chair of the MREC allowed to defame a sitting Republican in an effort to sway public opinion toward another candidate (herself)? This is essentially an endorsement. 

Not only that, but one of the roles of the chair is to raise funds for the MREC. If April is a candidate and she speaks to a donor, will she raising funds for the committee or for herself? It seems like a conflict of interest to me. 

If she is going to run for an elected position, shouldn't she remove herself as Chair?

Let's take a step back in time and look at April's character and how she treats children...

She also used them as a "Political Pawn" both while she was running for the MREC Chair and now for her campaign announcement for Countywide Commissioner. We see that April Allison used the same words and tactic that we saw from the commissioner above. 

As you can see, April Culbreath, aka Dugan, in her campaign announcement and as part of her political REC stunt speech says, "The most rewarding time in my career was spent working as a crimes against children detective..." 

Yet, in her disciplinary file we learn that Ms. Culbreath was suspended 8.6 hours

without pay because she "failed to respond to a missing child call." Instead of responding she was visiting with another detective. 

In a separate incident, Ms. Dugan was asked to perform a duty to visit  All Children's Hospital, as there was a four month old infant from Manatee County there with swelling of the brain. This incident needed to be investigated. You can see below the disrespectful attitude from Ms. Dugan to her Child Protection Services Supervisor. 

"It needs to be noted that Dugan's attitude, and disrespect for my authority, has been an ongoing issue since she was transferred here...although this incident was the worst. Her pretentious attitude and obvious lack of respect for me is undermining my authority and causing problems in the unit."

These vile words, aggressive attitude, and pattern goes back decades. I know some of you have already witnessed this behavior or experienced this abuse and disrespect from April. Do we want more of this from the BOCC? 

What else did April promise in her political speech to get 

you to vote for her? 

One thing she promised is to foster "loyalty" in the Republican Party. 

Let's take a look at how she fosters "loyalty" to the Party.

First she calls a sitting Republican, a "Radical Commissioner [who] should register as a Democrat. "  She then uses exaggerated and inaccurate statements about Kruse's votes. We see that April Culbreath is using the same words and tactic as the commissioner in the video above. 

This is how the Chairman of the Republican Executive Committee speaks to a member of the Executive Committee?

Where is the loyalty? 

It seems April Culbreath does have "loyalty" but her "loyalty" lies with Jennings Lawton DePriest (the person behind all those attack ads). 

Who is DePriest? Why is this so important and why should you care? 

Listen to how Jennings Lawton DePriest describes himself:

• "I am a professional propagandist."
• “Unlike normal marketing, on the political side, I don't just get to sell my product. I don't just get to sell my candidate or my issue, I get to  trash (his emphasis) the other candidate or issue too, which is like probably my favorite part.”
• "If you got a political text it's a good chance I'm behind it ... sorry not sorry."

Jennings Lawton DePriest, a "professional propagandist," is sending texts under the name "Real Mantee County Conservatives," and the language he uses in his marketing ads is the same language April is using in her campaign speeches. Read more about DePriest's LLC's and PAC's here.

Now that you know a little bit about DePriest, let's take a look at April's relationship with this self proclaimed "digital assassin."

Take a look at other statements April said to convince us to vote for her, first as Chair and now as Commissioner. April says she will:

• " ... uphold the principles of freedom, equality and justice on which the Republican Party and nation was founded... " 
• She seems to suggest she is uniquely qualified to uphold justice because she was a Deputy: "Being in a great organization [Sheriffs office] for so long, I couldn't help but pick up some great leadership skills along the way. As well as skills to defuse difficult situations." 

Let's go back to April's disciplinary report to see how April's great leadership skills and her ability to uphold principles of freedom and justice and how she is able to defuse situations ... (keep in mind this is a "Deputy Sheriff) 

April is accused of: 

• Punching a Victim in the Face
• Battering a Mother
• Rude and Unprofessional in front of Children

As we can see from her disciplinary report, bullying has been part of April's history for over two decades along with her abuse of power and this is still happening. No wonder she hasn't defended George Kruse, Kevin Wright and other MREC members. Hundreds have spoken out because they are frustrated with what they are seeing within our county. It looks like April will give us more of the same. 

April Culbreath was elected as Chair because she claimed she would bring unity, protect justice, and defend the party, but she has not brought any of these things to the MREC. 

HOW could she be an effective County Commissioner? 

HOW will she be a successful leader after what we have seen so far with her leadership skills? 

On your own you are going to have to accept and decide what you believe about April and be the judge and jury about DePriest. The conclusion lies here with DePriest applying for membership at the Manatee Republican Executive Committee. 

Here is the question I leave you with: Is this what we want for Manatee County?

We have a decisions to make - Now is NOT the time in my opinion to bring in new members until the MREC house is cleaned up!

So why am I telling you all this? Why am I spending hours writing this email and providing proof to you about what's really happening? "Why am I trying to raise awareness, knowing - I am sure I will be targeted next?

I told you I got involved because I believe it's my mission to be the voice for kids and defend them from adults who have harmful intents. If this is how the adults who call themselves Christians and Patriots behave, I don't have a lot of hope for the future. It saddens me to know that these are the role models we have for the children. 

There will be people unhappy with me about this email. These are NOT "my actions."  I am just the messenger. I am trying to imagine what the headlines and Facebook posts will say ..... 

Will I be called a Democrat? a Liberal? a Soros-Backed Commie? 

What other unsubstantiated labels will the propagandists and their keyboard warriors assign to me?

We have seen it's very profitable to give those running for office a "shiny veneer," a "brand" that a marketing company can use to "sell" that person and win an elected seat. Unfortunately, WE are paying the price for their propaganda. We are getting candidates who are UNQUALIFIED because they aren't running on their own merit, talent, and accomplishments. They are campaigning on a fake facade that well-paid "political assassins" create. 

THIS STOPS HERE.

Politics is a nasty business, the mud slinging along with the airing of dirty laundry and most of us do not want to enter into this arena. Those who do must have integrity, if not then they are made of stone. 

We rally behind those who rise out of the ashes proclaiming to have our best interest at hand. We made friendships and trusted them at face value. But once they cross over that line it then becomes a profitable business and it is no longer about "We The People." The dark side quickly consumes them. April now has that shiny veneer and will be coached to keep it.
